Sheriff Palmer, is a Walking Tall Sheriff, thank God Oregon has 2 we need more Constitutional Sheriffs like Palmer, in Oregon, Palmer is under attack by the Libs in this State, Sheriff Palmer was voted Constitutional Sheriff of the year in 2012' by CSPOA, an honor that should be looked at with Pride by the people who live in Grant County, If Hitlerey gets in she will do a Gun Grab, its Sheriffs like Palmer who wont let that happen. Feds knocking down doors!!!! to take guns, I live in a county with a pussyfooter Sheriff, they come to me vs. the Sheriff, shouldnt be that way, Grant County be thankful you have a ''Walking Tall Sheriff'' in Palmer.
I contacted someone in another office who told me that my only recourse is to file a formal complaint , which would get bounced up to the state level at which point the same official I'd simply wanted to have a brief, cordial conversation with, would be legally forced to deal with the complaint. Obviously, I'm not going to file a complaint against the department, simply to get an appointment to talk to an elected official. But how ridiculous is it that that would be the only way to let him know I'd like an appointment -- at his convenience -- to speak with him?

Called with a question about property and was spoken to rudely and hurried off the phone by a lady named Pam.
Tried to call this department to make an appointment to speak with someone there. Secretary was initially rude then became very belligerent on the phone when I told her that didn't want to file a complaint, but just wanted to sit down with someone regarding an ongoing situation & get some advice on how to proceed. Ultimately, she simply refused to allow me to set up an appointment. Said she'd have sergeant on duty call me, though I'd already told her that this would not be helpful.
